15 January 2012 - fitted support planks under the Greenhouse bottom frame to sit
in the groove in the concrete wall posts that I'm using as a foundation..
Foundation posts started for the green house to sit on.. see the groove..
Free manure from the gate spread around a bit and making runner-bean frames
That's 2 Bean frames done...... pallets do come in awfully handy!!
21 Jan - Fitted the IBC 1000 Lt. tank ... and finished the foundations for the
22 Jan - Setting up the greenhouse on its foundations
Dug the soil inside the GH to loosen it up, added chicken and horse manure,
fertilizer and dug it in.
Then started adding soil dug from the front of the GH.
This area will be flag-stoned and a water-butt fitted for liquid manure made
from Comfrey leaves.
29 Jan - Carried on with filling the greenhouse with soil from the pathway and
flagging the greenhouse and pathway area. Notice the muddy flags!!
So that's almost finished - now I have to put the glass into the greenhouse. The
green water-butt is for liquid manure.
28 Jan - Went to our Bollington Potato and Seed day today... this is what I now
have to plant!! 218 spuds and 360onions!!
My 13 variety purchase .. just to test what grows well on the site...

29 Jan - Sowing Asparagus seeds. Started them early to get them growing strongly
then plant out in the ground following the early spuds..
Sowing Broad Beans in loo rolls to plant out early Spring . All seeds now in the
spare room propatators.. ... note temp gauge probed into a seed tray..
4 Feb - Fitting glass to greenhouse - in the snow...
Greenhouse is now Finished.... Oh no - just remembered... I still have to fix
the raised bed planks to the inside edges...
First big snow storm only a few inches...
